Don't Let Your Dental Benefits go to Waste

Can you believe 2021 is almost over?  This year has flown by, and if you're like many people, remaining dental insurance benefits are not at the forefront of your mind.  If your dental insurance "resets" on January 1, 2022, you may lose the benefits you've earned this year by faithfully paying your monthly premiums.  The good news is that you still have time to schedule a dental appointment and take advantage of the care to which you are entitled.

Whether you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Savings Account (HSA), or have a dental plan with a deductible, it's important for you to know whether the money/benefits roll over into the new year.  If you're not sure, we would be more than happy to look into that for you.  Many employers offer dental benefits as part of thir compensation package.  The problem is most dental plans are "use it or lose it" proposition.  In other words, if you don't take advantage of the dental care that you are entitled to during the program's term, your dental benefits may expire without being used.  In many instances, dental plans work on a calendar year.  That means they begin on January 1 and end on December 31.  If that's the case and you don't use the dental benefits included in your compensation plan by the end of the year, you are essentially paying for nothing!

If you want to ensure you are getting everything you and your family are entitled to under your dental plan, call us today and speak with either Kris or Andrea to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
